Attachment Matters! EMDR Therapy with a highly traumatised 4 yr old – A Case Study

This Case Study presentation will look closely at the importance of a child’s
attachment system prior to any trauma re-processing work. It will examine how to
utilise EMDR Therapy with a traumatised child, when the system that holds that child
is also traumatised. The case study will also explore, in a very practical way, the
development adjustments made to the Standard Protocol for children and how one
can be very creative with forms of BLS.
Expanded Phase 2 for complex and dissociative clients

Supporting EMDR practitioners to expand their practical skills and knowledge when
working with complex clients to ensure adequate stability and resourcing (Phase 2)
prior to trauma memory re-processing. This workshop also aims to demonstrate how
EMDR Therapy is a comprehensive treatment that can be complimentary and
integrated with other therapeutic approaches where appropriate, with a particular
focus on polyvagal approaches and CIPOS.
